Scholarly Testimonials
Like all colleges, UF engineering students experience issues around early career discovery and anxiety around major selection. Our students will be eager to use this system to help them make crucial decisions about their majors and career paths.
At the Clayton Christensen Institute, we have pioneered work on the importance of social capital in the educational experience. Dr. Razdan's Scholarly platform leverages the critical aspects of social connection in a very innovative manner.
Early career discovery is a key issue for all students, and with that in mind, we have invested heavily with our own initiatives called Ownit and Me3." "Dr. Razdan’s Scholarly Platform is quite complementary to our efforts. We especially like the contextualization and humanization capabilities of the system.

My own work in addressing poverty in the state of Florida has shown the power of education. In the area of career discovery at the Florida Chamber, we are supporters of the Launch your Career portal from the Department of Commerce. With Scholarly, it is possible to move career discovery to the next step.
In recent work, I have also developed metrics to assess the quality of jobs in the United States and found that subjective job quality is much higher when workers are engaged with the tasks and do work that utilizes their strengths and natural talents. Therefore, I believe it is extremely important that young people make informed decisions about how they invest their human capital to better align careers with their interests, personality, and talents.
